Job Description:

This job is responsible for analyzing processes, documenting business case opportunities, and implementing process improvement/transformation initiatives in support of Operational Excellence objectives. Key responsibilities include executing on change initiatives which may result in breakthrough cost efficiencies, quality, productivity, and risk mitigation. Job expectations include working with business leaders and subject matter experts, ensuring collaboration and transparency across integrated business and technology teams, and driving execution of solutions within the budget and timeline.

The Global Payment Operations (GPO) organization supports Global Wire transfer and ACH payments for internal and external clients across multiple time zones and currencies through various channels.  This is managed through 7 Centers Of Excellences (COEs) to drive global consistent processing and platforms. The COEs are responsible for supporting STP, handling Non-Straight-Through items, overdraft exceptions, investigations, reporting, initiative support, sanctions screening, monitoring payment flows 24X7 and Fraud Analytics & Alert Management in accordance with established policies.

The GPO Process Design Consultant II provides consulting expertise to the GPO organization in support of operations excellence and process automation initiatives.  You will play a fundamental and influential role in helping to drive our GPO roadmap which focuses on delivering one function, one process and one platform for each of our 7 Centers of Excellence within GPO while working to eliminate manual processes across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Implements moderately complex solutions to address issues and risks, optimize efficiency, reduce variability, and improve controls, quality, and sustainability

Works directly with Line of Business partners to gather information needed to identify and implement solutions that resolve critical business challenges and opportunities

Establishes and implements a model for continuous process improvement by applying process engineering best practices and delivering reusable technology solutions

Leverages analytics and critical thinking to solve complex business problems and translate issues into structured design oriented solutions with clearly defined business case benefits

Leads the development of enterprise change management deliverables for material projects including project charters, Suppliers, Inputs, Outputs, and Customers (SIPOC), Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI) process maps, risk assessments, control plans, and related artifacts

Leading process owners and subject matter experts through the analysis of present-state processes and pain points, developing approaches for defining potential solutions, and proposing comprehensive business cases for improvement recommendations that align to the GPO roadmap

Coordinating and solving urgent business challenges across Operations, Product, Technology and Risk partners

Driving end-to-end integration of various work streams in order to deliver the intended solution, including requirements gathering, data mapping, project execution, integration and implementation

Assessing and supporting POC and Pilot Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and functionality

Leading risk management and mitigation planning readiness, change adoption, stakeholder management, and quality assurance

Ensuring clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for project team members – clarity on ownership of execution within the FLU / and or owners of the content and deliverables

Managing project scope, timeline and budget/expenses while ensuring all applicable change requirements are satisfied

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience leading projects or driving process excellence

Cross functional with strong business analysis, problem solving, quality management and organization skills

Experience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs – is a continuous learner

Ability to translate strategic objectives into milestones and tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines

Strong communication and executive reporting skills

Strong command of PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio in order to complete assignments including process flows, executive updates, procedures, and data mining

Understanding of Agile and Six Sigma methodologies

Ability to understand the bigger picture (risks, dependencies)
