About the Department

This position serves as the Administrative Assistant to the District Court Administrator (DCA), responsible for providing a variety of tasks, including managing calendars, handling customer service, maintaining office procedures, and being able to work under tight deadlines.

Position Duties

 

Performs standard administrative tasks, including answering phone calls and directing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars, organizing and filing documents.

Assists the DCA in the performance of operational support duties: preparing, proofreading, and transmitting documents; coordinating workflow-routing; monitoring progress of all assignments for and delegated by the DCA.

Approves and submits bills to the Accounts Payable Department for processing.

Assists with organizing, planning, coordinating and arranging meetings, functions, and events; preparing agendas; and reserving facilities when needed.

Aids judicial chambers, supervisors, and co-workers as necessary to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Courts.

Assists all staff in Court Administration, as needed, to ensure an even and accurate workflow.

Performs other administrative support duties and related work as required by the DCA.

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent typing, spelling, and grammar skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365 (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular).

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize.

Ability to maintain a high level of integrity in the performance of job duties.

Other Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a professional, legal, or court setting performing a variety of administrative support services
