Accounts Payable Specialist, Full-Time

Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavioral support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories for their lives.

 

We currently have an opening for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist.

 

JOB GOAL

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full circle of the accounts payable functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process invoice payments accurately, ensuring proper expense classification and allocation to appropriate departments, locations, and other trackable categories.

Manage purchase order entries within the designated system, serving as the initial checkpoint for due diligence and accuracy.

Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) email communications to ensure timely and effective responses to internal and external stakeholders.

Assist with remittance procedures and support all other accounts payable functions as needed.

Provide payroll support, including data entry, report generation, and preparing files for payroll-related data transfers.

Perform additional duties as assigned the administration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates in Accounting, preferred.

Experience with the AP Process, preferred.

Ability to complete work accurately and with attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and leadership team, while maintaining professional boundaries.

Positively represent and promote BHA services to outside organizations.

Maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Ability to work both independently and as a team.

Communicate effectively utilizing both written and oral communication.

Basic computer literacy with Microsoft/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

Effectively utilize technology for communication and reporting needs.
