The Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) provides non-clinical, peer-based recovery support services to CleanSlate patients. They will establish a relationship and rapport with the patient in their recovery journey by drawing from their own experience with a substance use disorder and recovery. In addition, they will provide emotional, mental, and informational support and companionship to patients recovering in the context of the community and connecting to relevant resources is essential. The CRS will conduct assertive outreach to engage new individuals into care. In addition, they will work collaboratively with the CleanSlate treatment team and community partners to ensure cohesive patient care. The CRS will also assess each new patient for strengths, challenges, needs and barriers; seeking to understand patient’s long-term goals and desired future state and supports in planning action steps to get there.

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

Active, State Specific, Recovery Specialist Certification or Documentation

AZ: Peer Recovery Support Specialist

IN: Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC II-MH preferred)

KY: Adult Peer Support Specialist

MA: Certified Addiction Recovery Coach

OH: Certified Peer Recovery Supporter

PA: Certified Recovery Specialist

VA: Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

WI: Certified Peer Specialist

Minimum of 12 months of a personal lived recovery experience, unless otherwise noted below:

PA: 18 continuous months of a personal lived recovery experience

This position is subject to a background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities.
