Position Summary:

As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you’ll be instrumental in leading our maintenance team and ensuring the smooth operation of high-speed corrugating machines, support systems, conveyors, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct a team of maintenance personnel, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance to Department goals.

Hire, train, evaluate, and, if necessary, recommend discipline or termination of maintenance staff in collaboration with the Plant Manager or Maintenance Manager.

Champion safety by enforcing company and OSHA standards.

Manage and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring timely and quality execution.

Mentor and develop technicians, fostering a culture of excellence.

Lead process improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Act as a liaison between the maintenance manager, technicians, and facility leadership.

Step into leadership when needed, covering for the Maintenance Manager during PTO periods.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Associate’s degree related to industrial maintenance strongly preferred

Corrugator experience required

3+ years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment

Expertise in corrugated manufacturing and PLC troubleshooting/programming

Prior experience in industrial maintenance including a strong electrical and mechanical background

5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing facility installing and troubleshooting electrical components and machinery

A problem-solver with a passion for innovation and team development

Language Skills

Working understanding of spoken English

Working understanding of written English

Mathematical Skills

Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape

Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
